Rivers State Government Set To Recruit 10,000 Teachers

Rivers State Government led by Gov. Nyesom Wike is set to recruit 10,000 teachers in the state. This was disclosed by the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Gogo Jaja in a statement made available to views media.

The Commissioner of Education said that the recruitment is part of the 'Wike-led Governments' vision to reposition the state educationally and also reduce the rate of unemployment in the state.

He further stated that the States' Ministry of Education is ready for the recruitment of the teachers and He is also waiting for the approval of the State Governor.

Non-academic and auxiliary staffs will also be recruited. The recruitment exercise is set to commence on September 2018.
