2018 World Cup: 75 Nigerians abscond in Russia - Ministry of foreign affairs

The ministry of foreign affairs said that out of the 230 stranded Nigerian fans in Russia, 75 absconded after the 2018 FIFA world cup.

On Wednesday, The ministrys' spokeperson, Tope Elias Fatile, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the fans absconded despite all efforts to repatriate them.

The spokesman further said that  230 stranded Nigerians were profiled to board chartered Ethiopian Airline to Abuja but at the last minute, only 155 persons boarded the flight.
